That’s kind of a dumb post title, but there’s been a lot of “behind the scenes” work going on at Altoplace. The big news is that I moved Altoplace to pair Networks’ WP Enthusiast 1 fully-managed WordPress Hosting plan. It’s a bit more expensive, but I think that it’s worth it. You can read about it and make your own conclusions. The pair Networks host and support are rock solid. I do miss the ssh shell access, but I have found that “sftp” is very sufficient for my needs.
I am still tweaking my settings, plugins, etc., but I hope to start adding real content soon. I also moved my other site, altoplace.net, but it’s strictly for practice and trying out new things, without breaking my real site. Right now, it contains content from the OSTraining book WordPress Explained that I am working through.
Since we are talking about October, I just wanted to mention that October started out with summer-like temperatures here in the midwest, but it’s changing to fall-like temperatures later this week.
We are still in October and I have not created any new content except for this update to my post. I am currently learning how to use the WordPress staging feature provided by pair Networks.
Please stay tuned …
